COMMON STORIES: The Future of Home at Cloverdale

Posted on: October 22, 2019

We are still determining the final vision of the residential offering at Cloverdale, but we’re aiming to create a space that balances density with a sense of place.  I don’t think there are many projects in this city of this scale and scope that are putting as much time and energy into finding that balance up front.  The aim is to create something that people are going to want to visit because they’ve heard about the feeling of being connected that the place creates.  At the end of the day, I feel like the final product is really going to translate into something that just doesn’t exist anywhere else.  By creating a complete community for folks to live in, where they can get everything done efficiently, we give back time for what matters most.  The feedback we’ve received from The Common has helped us break tradition and look ahead in a broader way regarding what’s considered living.  By working in partnership with the community, we get closer and closer to a point where everybody walks away feeling like they’ve won, and that’s the most important thing we can do.  We are physically and emotionally invested in our asset and we’ll be there hand in hand with the community.

Common Stories is a monthly blog series that will bring you people’s stories, told at the Cloverdale Common.  The Common is the designated space within the mall created to seek the community’s input regarding the proposed Cloverdale redevelopment.  Visit us in the North end of the mall and let us know your thoughts and visions for the future of Cloverdale.
