Walking in a Baking Wonderland

Posted on: November 22, 2018

It’s that time of year again . . . time to turn my home into a baking wonderland.  With Mariah Carey’s Christmas Album (I picked up at Sunrise Records) playing in the background, I begin baking holiday goodies and  the sweet scent of Christmas flows throughout my home.  Baking is an integral part of the holiday festivities for me.  Although I absolutely enjoy baking, unfortunately I don’t have much of a sweet tooth to devour my sweet creations.  Thankfully I have a sister and a husband who live for sweets.

About a year ago I purchased a KitchenAid Stand mixer from Kitchen Stuff Plus and it’s one the best decisions I’ve made in regards to appliances.  It’s a must for every home baker as it makes mixing, whipping, and blending easy-peasy.  Powerful enough to make large batches of holiday favourites for my friends and family and compact and lightweight enough for easy storage and use.  I purchased mine in the colour red (obviously) to bring extra holiday cheer into my kitchen.  This stand mixer would make a perfect gift for the baker in your life or even as a treat for yourself if you want to take up baking.

If you attended Relish The Foodie Event this past September at Cloverdale and were drooling over Anna Olson’s scrumptious Lemon Crumble Loaf Cake, then head over to Coles to pick up her new book “Set for the Holidays with Anna Olson”.  It has some yummy ideas for holiday baking and works as great gift idea to go along with the KitchenAid mixer.  With Black Friday almost here, I suggest checking out Kitchen Stuff Plus for this fab mixer along with other great deals.  Pssst!  Christmas Ornaments will be buy one get one 50 per cent off.
