Smile for the Camera

Posted on: March 1, 2019

I’m currently in the market for a phone upgrade but with so many models available, with so many different features and new releases every now and then, picking the right one can be exhausting.  We use our phone all day, from making calls, texting, tweeting, using the camera to take instagrammable pics to paying our bills, ordering dinner through an app and using the GPS to navigate our way through life.  Needless to say picking out a new phone is a very important decision.

One feature I definitely give importance to when selecting a new phone is its camera.  When I heard that about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series release for their 10th anniversary, the first thing that caught my attention was the fact that it had multiple cameras.  I decided to stop by Fido and speak to the specialists about this upcoming series of cell phones.

Our friends at Fido gave me the low down on the new Samsung phones.  The S10 series consists of three phones:  S10e with a 5.8 inch screen, S10 with a 6.1 inch screen and S10 Plus with a 6.4 inch screen.  Of course the camera was what I was most interested about hearing.  We are constantly snapping away at everything picturesque and not to forget the endless amount of selfies we need to take in order to get the one.  In my opinion the most interesting feature of this series is that it has five built in cameras.  Yes, you read that correctly, five cameras!  There are three cameras on the rear (16 megapixel lens with a f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture, 16 megapixel lens with an f/2.4 aperture and an ultra wide-angle lens) and two on the front for image stability.  In case you were in the market for a new camera this really eliminates the need to purchase a separate camera and hits two birds with one stone.  With a 123-degree field of view, this phone will assist you in obtaining the perfect shot for your Instagram feed.

The phones come with other great features such as the ultra sonic fingerprint scanner that provides vault-like security to unlock your phone and the wireless power share which allows you to turn your phone into a Qi charging pad.  No more dealing with finicky screen protectors, these babies come with a built in screen protector.

I’ll be waiting for the release so that I can test these bad boys out in person.  Already sold?  Stop by Fido to learn about their phone plans and pre-order your phone today.
