Short Cuts

Posted on: May 16, 2018

Honesty time: I’m vertically challenged. Short. As the term of endearment used in “Little House on the Prairie” put it, I’m half-pint sized. On a measuring tape I’d fall on the wrong side of the five-foot mark. So, when I say shopping is a challenge – it can be a challenge.

Jeans are comically long. Sleeve lengths are always wonky, reaching far past the tips of my fingers.  I can oft look like I’m playing dress-up in someone else’s closet if I’m not careful.

I can hear the chorus of well-meaning advisors telling me to, “shop in the petite section.” Well that’s a starting place but *ahem* even those inseams leave extra fabric to be dealt with.

Luckily, I know that with a quick trip to Stitch It I’ll be sorted in no time. Whether I’m going for the profesh look or something more casual, I know I’m in excellent hands. Because with fashion, fit is everything!
