World Book Day is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to promote reading , publishing and copyright.  Ever since I learned to read I haven’t been able to put a book down once I’ve started it.  I remember back in school I would secretly read my book during a lesson.  Now as a 20-something year old with a full-time job and a habit of binge-watching Netflix, I still identify as a total book nerd.  A couple months ago I came to the realization that even though I identify as book nerd, I hardly ever read.  With so many things on the go now, it can be difficult to find the time to sit down with a good book.  As I found, hope is not lost as there are many ways you can squeeze is some reading time.  Do you take the transit to work?  Bring along a Kobo E-Reader for the commute.  Check out The Source to find one that best suits your needs.  You can easily download any book and read on the go or download an audio book and listen while driving or working out at the gym.  Are you more of a bedtime reader?  Turn off the Netflix.  Reading before you go to bed can relax the mind and help drift you into peaceful slumber.  I recently picked up a book light from Home Hardware and it was a great investment.  It easily clips on to your book and you can adjust the brightness of the light to suit your preference.  I love using the book light at night since it allows me to read in bed, without disturbing my husband sleeping beside me.  Chances are you won’t finish your book in just one sitting and will need a bookmark.  Pick up some magnetic bookmarks from Coles, they come is various designs and you won’t have to worry about them falling out of your book.  No matter what your current pick is, make some time today and curl up for some reading.
